Spicy Mixed Citrus Margarita
Ingredients
- 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup maple syrup or agave
- ½ cup orange juice, freshly squeezed (about 2 oranges)
- ½ cup lime juice, freshly squeezed (about 3-4 limes)
- ½ cup Meyer lemon juice, freshly squeezed (2-3 lemons)
- ½ cup grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed (1 grapefruit)
- 1 ½ cups tequila blanco
- Edible flowers or orchids and lime slices, for garnish
- Kosher salt, for rim
Directions
If salting the rim, take one of the juiced limes and rub it around the rim of the glass. Pour some salt onto a shallow plate and then dip the glass into the salt.
In a glass add 2 slices of jalapeño and 1 tbsp. maple or agave. Muddle to breakup the jalapeño.
To the glass add 1 ounce orange juice, 1 ounce lime juice, 1 ounce Meyer lemon juice and 1 ounce grapefruit juice. Stir to combine. Add 3 ounces tequila.
Alternatively you can do this part in a shaker, pour the juices and tequila in and shake then pour into the glass.
Top off glass with ice and stir. Serve immediately.
