Spicy Mixed Citrus Margarita

Spicy Mixed Citrus Margarita


  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or agave
  • ½ cup orange juice, freshly squeezed (about 2 oranges)
  • ½ cup lime juice, freshly squeezed (about 3-4 limes)
  • ½ cup Meyer lemon juice, freshly squeezed (2-3 lemons)
  • ½ cup grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed (1 grapefruit)
  • 1 ½ cups tequila blanco
  • Edible flowers or orchids and lime slices, for garnish
  • Kosher salt, for rim


  1. If salting the rim, take one of the juiced limes and rub it around the rim of the glass. Pour some salt onto a shallow plate and then dip the glass into the salt.

  2. In a glass add 2 slices of jalapeño and 1 tbsp. maple or agave. Muddle to breakup the jalapeño.

  3. To the glass add 1 ounce orange juice, 1 ounce lime juice, 1 ounce Meyer lemon juice and 1 ounce grapefruit juice. Stir to combine. Add 3 ounces tequila.

    Alternatively you can do this part in a shaker, pour the juices and tequila in and shake then pour into the glass. 

  4. Top off glass with ice and stir. Serve immediately.
