Crunchy Red Slaw

Crunchy Red Slaw


  • 1/2 red cabbage, finely shredded
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tbsp. black sesame seeds, plus more for garnish
  • 5-6 dashes hot sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. In a large bowl combine the cabbage, green onions and jalapeno. Toss together.

  2. In a small bowl whisk together the mayonnaise, vinegar, honey, sesame seeds, hot sauce, salt and pepper. 

  3. Pour dressing over the slaw and toss to combine. Let sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Stir occasionally and check for seasoning, adding more salt and pepper if needed.

  4. To serve, place into a shallow bowl and garnish with extra sesame seeds.

    Will keep in the fridge for 4-5 days.
