Homemade Hemp Milk

Homemade Hemp Milk


  • 6 cups filtered water
  • 1 cup hemp seeds or hearts, such as Manitoba Harvest
  • Pinch of fine sea salt
  • 2-3 tbsp. date syrup, maple syrup or your favorite sweetener, this is optional
  • 1-2 tsp. vanilla extract, optional
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla bean seeds, optional


  1. In a high power blender such as Vitamix, combine all of the ingredients.

  2. Starting on low and slowly raising the speed to high, blend the mixture until smooth, creamy and bright white.

  3. Pour the hemp milk into jars or bottles and keep refrigerated for up to a week and a half.

  4. Add to smoothies, pour over granola or mix with chia seeds for pudding. It does not do well when heated.

    Be sure to shake before using.
