Homemade Hemp Milk

Ingredients
- 6 cups filtered water
- 1 cup hemp seeds or hearts, such as Manitoba Harvest
- Pinch of fine sea salt
- 2-3 tbsp. date syrup, maple syrup or your favorite sweetener, this is optional
- 1-2 tsp. vanilla extract, optional
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla bean seeds, optional
Directions
- In a high power blender such as Vitamix, combine all of the ingredients. 
- Starting on low and slowly raising the speed to high, blend the mixture until smooth, creamy and bright white. 
- Pour the hemp milk into jars or bottles and keep refrigerated for up to a week and a half. 
- Add to smoothies, pour over granola or mix with chia seeds for pudding. It does not do well when heated. - Be sure to shake before using. - Recipe Courtesy of Megan Mitchell
