Greens, Apple and Banana Smoothie


  • 1 small head romaine lettuce, washed and dried
  • 1 large handful of baby spinach, washed and dried
  • 1 apple, I prefer Gala or Granny Smith
  • 1 banana
  • 2 celery stalks, cleaned and cut into 3rds
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 1 avocado, skin and pit removed
  • ½ cup flat leaf parsley
  • 1 ½ cups coconut water


  1. Begin by removing the core from the romaine. Chop into about 2 inch sized chunks so they fit easier into the blender.

  2. In a Vitamix or blender combine all of the ingredients and blend until smooth. You may need to start and stop the blender to check the consistency. Make sure you let the blender run for about 3-4 minutes to fully break down all of the vegetables and fruit.

    Serve immediately.
