Grilled Brie and Grapes with Grilled Bread
Ingredients
- 1 large baguette; sourdough, ciabatta or Italian
- 2 bunches red grapes, washed
- 16-ounce round of brie, rind still on
- Vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Begin by preheating a grill or grill pan to medium high heat. Clean and oil the grates.
Slice the baguette in half length wise and brush the inside with a little vegetable oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
In a bowl, coat the grapes, still on the stem, with a little vegetable oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Brush the brie with a little oil as well.
Once the grill is up to heat, grill the bread until charred on both sides, about 3-5 minutes per side. Remove and slice into pieces.
Next, grill the grapes. Cook 8-10 minutes or until some of them begin to burst and they turn a bright purple color. Make sure to move them around every couple of minutes so they char on every side. You can also do this in a grill basket.
About 5 minutes before the grapes are done, add the brie to the grill. Grill 2-3 minutes per side until you see nice grill marks and it feels soft to the touch.
Remove the grilled grapes and brie and place on a board or platter along with the grilled bread.
Slather some of the grilled brie on a piece of bread and top with a couple of the grilled grapes picked from the stem.
